Kindred Healthcare Announces Leadership Changes

Effective immediately, Jason Zachariah will serve as Kindred Healthcare president, Russ Bailey will serve as president of Kindred Rehabilitation Services, and Mike Warrington will serve as president of Kindred's Hospital Division.

Kindred Healthcare, LLC announced the appointment of multiple presidents for various divisions across the organization Monday.

Effective immediately, Jason Zachariah will serve as president of Kindred Healthcare, Russ Bailey will serve as president of Kindred Rehabilitation Services (KRS), and Mike Warrington will serve as president of the Hospital Division.

Zachariah will oversee Kindred's Hospital Division and Kindred Behavioral Health and will continue to oversee KRS, which he has served as president of since 2016 and COO of since January. He has worked for Kindred since 2006 and has served in various roles in the Hospital Division.

"Jason has a proven record of driving operational results, encouraging innovation, and enhancing our culture at all levels of the organization," Benjamin A. Breier, CEO of Kindred, said in a statement. "As COO during one of the most unpredictable and transformational years in the Company’s history, Jason has demonstrated exceptional leadership and operational expertise. His authentic regard for our patients, our partners, and our team members is evident in everything he does. I look forward to continuing to work closely with him in this expanded role."

Bailey, who has served as COO of Kindred's inpatient rehabilitation facilities (IRF) for KRS since 2019, will serve as president of KRS.

In his role as COO, Bailey has overseen "operations for Kindred's wholly owned and joint venture freestanding IRFs.” He has worked for Kindred since 2019, when it merged with Centerre.

"Russ is a proven leader with significant operational expertise and industry knowledge. He has been central to driving strategic objectives that have the division positioned for continued success," Breier said in a statement. "Russ has helped establish a best-in-class joint venture model that is producing outstanding results for both Kindred and its joint venture partners.”

Warrington, who has served as COO of the hospital division since 2016, will serve as president of the Hospital Division.

In his role as COO, he has "helped enhance operational performance across Kindred’s portfolio of LTAC hospitals." He has worked for Kindred since 2009.

"Mike is a proven leader with significant operational expertise, industry knowledge, and a relentless focus on driving quality outcomes for our patients. He has been central to driving division-wide strategic objectives that have the business poised for continued success," Breier said in a statement.
