Montana senate gives preliminary nod to Medicaid plan

The state Senate narrowly gave preliminary approval to a Medicaid expansion bill on Monday, ending a legislative logjam that some claimed could put health care for 96,000 Montanans in jeopardy. House Bill 658, a plan to extend Medicaid expansion until 2025, was approved 26-24 in its second reading. It must undergo a third reading.
