Opinion: Why a $15 minimum wage for health care systems employees helps N.J. communities

Health care is arguably the most vital sector of New Jersey's economy. In fact, nearly, 500,000 people are employed in New Jersey's health care industry, according to Choose New Jersey. That's out of a total state labor force of 4.5 million. It's helping to fuel New Jersey's economy, especially when you consider that employment in this sector has increased every year since 1990.
