PHILADELPHIA: Chestnut Hill Hospital names new CEO

Dr. John D. Cacciamani was named CEO at Chestnut Hill Hospital. Cacciamani has more than 15 years of experience in hospital operations, most recently at Temple University Hospital, and is a board-certified internist and geriatric sub-specialist. He is also the immediate past president of the Philadelphia Medical Society. At Chestnut Hill Hospital, which is in the northwest corner of Philadelphia, he succeeds Brooks Turkel, who left the chief executive post late last year to become CEO of Regional Hospital of Scranton. Both Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia and Regional Hospital of Scranton in northern Pennsylvania are owned by Community Health System (NYSE: CYH) of Franklin, TN.
