Philadelphia hospital names new CEO

Temple University Hospital is promoting Dr. Verdi J. Disesa to president and CEO of the North Philadelphia medical center effective March. 1. He takes over the spot being vacated by John N. Kastanis, who is leaving to become president and CEO of the 519-bed University Hospital in Newark, the primary teaching partner for the New Jersey Medical School of Rutgers University. DiSesa will maintain his duties as chief operating officer of Temple University Health System and senior vice dean for clinical affairs in the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University.
