The Garfield County Hospital District is taking drastic measures to keep Pomeroy’s only hospital in operation. According to a news release issued Tuesday afternoon by CEO Julie Leonard, the hospital is in a serious, unstable financial situation, and if changes are not made the medical facility “will not be here in about 65 days.”
