Preventive screenings available with mobile unit

Wausau, WI-based Aspirus Women's Health will use a mobile imaging unit to take preventive screenings to rural and minority women. The unit will help the program reach more women and detect cancers earlier, giving people a better chance of survival, said Mandy Myszka, coordinator of the Wisconsin Well Woman Program. The state program provides preventive care for women who meet certain income requirements and is primarily designed to reach women ages 50 to 64 who live in rural areas or who are minorities.
