University of Miami Hospital chief to lead Jackson Memorial in April

Job changes don’t get much more convenient than the one David Zambrana will make on April 15. Zambrana, the chief executive of University of Miami Hospital, will move across the street to take the same position leading Jackson Memorial Hospital, the flagship of Miami-Dade’s taxpayer-owned healthcare network, Jackson Health System. Zambrana, a registered nurse and doctor of nursing practice, began his healthcare career at Jackson Memorial working in cardiac surgery intensive care, trauma and pediatric intensive care. Prior to being named CEO in May 2014, he was CEO and chief nursing officer at UM Hospital.
