Doctors in the US were more likely to report problems with the country's healthcare system than were their international peers in the Commonwealth Fund's 2012 survey. They found that just 15 percent of US primary-care physicians say the healthcare system works well and only needs minor changes. US doctors were also far more likely to report that patients have difficulty paying for the care they need, at 59%, and that staff time spent navigating coverage restrictions is a major problem, at 52%.
