Westchester Medical Center Network, Empire BlueCross reach deal

Westchester Medical Center Health Network and Empire BlueCross Blue Shield struck a new deal Thursday affecting health insurance coverage for many patients across the Hudson Valley. The three-year contract keeps hospitals and providers in the Vallhalla-based health system, known as WMCHealth, in-network for patients with the Empire health plan, which reduces what they pay for health care at the locations.
