Women in healthcare don't make it to executive or c-suite level

The US healthcare workforce is female-dominated, but healthcare companies' C-suites are the complete opposite, a new report from Oliver Wyman has found. Only 33% of senior leaders at healthcare companies are female, and just 13% of CEOs, the report found. Many factors play into the disparity, but two appear especially distinct to healthcare: the professional backgrounds of CEOs and how people tend to get promoted.
