W.V. hospital closings may cause headaches for bus riders

The closing of two local hospitals and the resulting relocation of doctors’ offices may cause headaches for patients and workers who rely on public transportation. Ohio Valley Medical Center in Wheeling closed Sept. 4. Its sister facility, East Ohio Regional Hospital in Martins Ferry, is scheduled to close by Oct. 7. Alecto Healthcare Services of Irvine, California, owns both hospitals.
