WVU Medicine is getting closer to Pittsburgh. Do local health systems have anything to worry about?

Earlier in January, Uniontown Hospital and West Virginia University Health System moved closer to a partnership that would displace UPMC's longstanding relationship in Fayette County. The deal, which sources said could close as soon as April 1, will be the latest move in a multimillion-dollar expansion effort by WVU Health System that is having ripple effects across southwestern Pennsylvania.
