CVS Health and Google have partnered to use artificial intelligence and related cloud-based technology to increase consumer and patient engagement and 'ultimately support better health outcomes,' the companies announced Thursday. As part of the partnership working with Google Cloud's AI technology, CVS is creating a new business unit called 'Health100,' which will include an integrated platform to better engage consumers. This, the companies said, 'will give consumers an always-on personal health care partner.' The effort works by combining Google Cloud's 'interoperability infrastructure' to connect its healthcare partner's 'ecosystem with advanced multimodal AI that is fine-tuned for an end-to-end integrated experience,' CVS and Google said. Financial terms of the partnership weren't disclosed.
