The number of patients entering Miami-based Jackson Health System hospitals has declined about 6% or 7% recently, but Chief Executive Eneida Roldan said she can't attribute the decline to negative publicity driving potential patients away. In some ways, Roldan told the Miami Herald, Jackson is seeing a trend that many other hospitals across the country are experiencing: a reduction of patients because of financial pressures caused by the recession.
