UCH bids $1.79 billion for Memorial Hospital lease

$1.79 billion for a 40-year lease of Memorial Health System, the city-owned hospital system in Colorado Springs. UCH was one of five entities bidding on the hospital. It submitted its bid in an expected partnership with Poudre Valley Health System in Fort Collins. PVHS and UCH are in the process of negotiating a joint operating agreement. "Our financial proposal includes a total economic consideration of $1.79 billion, which is based in part on a $400 million enterprise value of Memorial Health System," UCH said in an executive summary of the bid.
