Managed-care provider WellCare Health Plans is accused in a lawsuit of delaying Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement to Kindred Hospitals East in order to invest that money and earn a fatter profit. The lawsuit comes at a time when Tampa-based WellCare is enjoying remarkable growth in both its profit and stock price.
