Are general surgeons the most overweight among their colleagues, or are they the most honest? The recently released Medscape's 2014 Physicians Lifestyle Report says nearly 50 percent of general surgeons would say they are overweight, while less than 25 percent of dermatologists say they are at an unhealthy weight. This look into the personal lives of doctors is a comprehensive report based on the answers to the following questions from more than 30,000 physicians in the United States from nearly every field of medical practice - from cardiology, emergency medicine and family medicine to endocrinologists, gastroenterologists and physicians who specialize in infectious diseases.
