They consider the event the walk to end pancreatic cancer.
Baylor Scott & White Health, the state's largest not-for-profit hospital system, is eliminating 145 jobs in Central Texas as part of its plan to outsource and retrain 1,700 employees. The company will cut 83 jobs at 3161 Eagles Nest St. in Round Rock and 62 jobs at SHA LLC at 12940 N. U.S. 183 in Austin, according to documents filed with the state.

A hospital that serves part of rural South Carolina said it lost more than $8 million last fiscal year in large part because of the COVID-19 pandemic. A landmark $575 million settlement by Sutter Health over the Sacramento medical giant’s business practices received a judge’s preliminary approval Tuesday. A year ago, Sutter agreed to pay $575 million to settle antitrust claims brought by California Attorney General Xavier Becerra. The deal also requires Sutter to change its relationships with insurance companies, employers and other key players in the health care industry, and have its business operations monitored for a decade.
