Texas businesses will have to wait a while longer to go back to normal. Thursday, Governor Greg Abbott announced the Lone Star State will put its reopening plan on hold due to the recent statewide uptick in COVID-19 hospitalizations and cases.
The federal government sent coronavirus stimulus payments to almost 1.1 million dead people totaling nearly $1.4 billion, Congress’ independent watchdog reported Thursday.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released its latest forecast of expected U.S. coronavirus deaths, predicting that between 130,000 and 150,000 Americans would die of the novel virus by July 18.
