RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- Affordable healthcare is on the way for more North Carolinians as Gov. Roy Cooper signed off on legislation expanding Medicaid.
Texas regulators have placed the remaining Friday Health operations in Texas in liquidation. The state has picked Cantilo & Bennett to act as the special deputy receiver and administer the plan’s day-to-day operations, according to a copy of an order posted by the Texas Department of Insurance.
A bill that would end dental, vision and hearing benefits for Medicaid recipients was vetoed by Gov. Andy Beshear Friday - keeping the additional benefits intact for now. Senate Bill 65 declared the benefits, which were established through an expansion approved by Beshear last year, were deficient under the state's emergency administrative regulations.
