Report finds majority of Anthem's ER denials were later overturned

A new report suggests that Anthem Inc.'s ER policy may be overly restrictive, according to a report released by Sen. Claire McCaskill. The Missouri Senator launched an investigation into the policy last year, following intense criticism from patients and providers after Anthem warned its Missouri members that they could be on the hook for the entire ER bill if the visit was later deemed unnecessary.
