Six months ago, three of North Carolina's largest health systems announced plans to form a partnership in an attempt to improve quality and affordability for patients across the state. On Tuesday, that company was introduced. Called Socius Health Solutions, the company is a joint venture between WakeMed Health & Hosptials, Vidant Health and Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. The shared services company named Mark W. Tribbett as president. The group chose the name because of its Latin meaning: sharing, associated or allied. The hospital systems have stressed that the relationship will not include a merger or acquisition of any of the systems.
