Bon Secours requires managers to take paid leave to improve fiscal balance sheet

Bon Secours Richmond Health System is halfway through an urgent effort to reduce expenses at the end of its fiscal year by requiring managers and other salaried workers to take five paid days off to get accrued leave off the nonprofit system’s books.Toni R. Ardabell, CEO of Bon Secours Virginia, ordered the measure on July 19 as a way to end the system’s fiscal year on Aug. 31 “on a high note and be well positioned as we start the new year on Sept. 1.”
