Colorado Medical Board members have adopted guidelines for the state to enact a new law expanding telehealth services to city dwellers as well as to the rural residents who already are seeing doctors and nurses increasingly via video or other electronic means. The guidelines do not include some of the limits imposed by other states as governments rush to put rules in place for increased telemedicine visits. Because of that flexibility, the rules that were adopted on Thursday are getting rave reviews from the ERISA Industry Committee, a Washington D.C.-based trade association that advocates for large businesses on issues involving health-care and other workers' benefits.
