TeamHealth agrees to be acquired by Blackstone in deal valued at about $6.1 billion

Private-equity firm Blackstone will acquire TeamHealth Holdings, Inc. in a deal valued at about $6.1 billion. TeamHealth provides outsourced emergency medicine, hospital medicine, critical care, post-acute care and medical call center solutions, among other services, to approximately 3,400 acute and post-acute facilities and physician groups nationwide.
