The overwhelming majority of the 1,800 nurses at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital who are working on an expired contract have voted to authorize a strike. The ballots tallied Monday night showed that 96% of the nurses at the 965-bed hospital voted to reject the latest offer and move toward a strike.
