Healthcare executives charged with collecting reimbursement are increasingly battling multiple forces working against them: insurers denying claims; clinicians citing wrong codes; decisions occurring outside of their control that impact the bottom line; and constant staff turnover.
Overcoming these manifold hurdles was top of mind when 40 executives met at the HealthLeaders Media Revenue Cycle Exchange, held March 22–24, 2017, at the Omni Tucson National Resort in Tucson, Arizona. Their plan of action to offset these obstacles includes staff training, clinician engagement, organizational support, and stronger payer relationships.
