CEO Exchange: Executive Change Order

Healthcare executives focused on challenges and shared solutions with their peers at the fourth annual HealthLeaders Media CEO Exchange.

The fourth annual HealthLeaders Media CEO Exchange gathered more than 40 top executives from provider organizations across the country at the end of September and start of October at the Fairmont Grand Del Mar resort in San Diego. In a series of small-group discussions and presentations, attendees discussed their thorniest issues and shared solutions.

These executives represented large health systems such as Carolinas HealthCare System in Charlotte, North Carolina; Memorial Hermann Health System in Houston; Memorial-Care Health System in Fountain Valley, California; Methodist Le Bonheur Health System in Memphis, Tennessee; SSM Health Care in St. Louis; Texas Health Resources in Dallas; and Wellmont Health System in Kingsport, Tennessee; community hospitals such as Bristol (Connecticut) Hospital and Health Care Group, Grinnell (Iowa) Regional Medical Center, and Holy Family Memorial in Manitowoc, Wisconsin; safety-net hospitals including Alameda Health System in Oakland, California, and The MetroHealth System in Cleveland; academic medical centers such as Medical University of South Carolina Medical Center, based in Charleston; and for-profit organizations, including LHP Hospital Group, based in Plano, Texas, and Capella Healthcare in Franklin, Tennessee.

As in previous years, attendees help shape the agenda for the two-day event. Several discussion topics emerged from advance discussions and surveys.
