Danbury Hospital touts benefits of merger

Fresh off a merger with hospitals in New York, western Connecticut hospitals say they are enhancing care and have complied with nearly all state requirements that made the coalition possible. The hospitals have allowed community representation on their boards and kept generous charity policies, among other stipulations laid out in an agreement with the Connecticut’s Office of Health Strategy, an independent firm found.
