Hacienda HealthCare will keep Medicaid contract, settlement says

Embattled Hacienda HealthCare will keep its Medicaid contract under certain conditions, including hiring a quality improvement expert, terms of a settlement agreement say. Terminating the contract could have a "detrimental impact on the communities that Hacienda serves as well as the Medicaid program and its beneficiaries," a 16-page settlement agreement between Hacienda HealthCare and the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services says.
