A Maitland-based physician group wants to transform 12 urgent-care clinics in the region — one step in the process that may help revolutionize health care. IP Network, the integrated network of more than 700 local independent doctors, is buying existing urgent-care clinics and transforming them into ER Clinix, which offer more services than traditional clinics. Specifically, ER Clinix also will have emergency-room services and other hospital services, including radiology and imaging. This is creating jobs for emergency-room doctors, lab technicians and radiologists, among others, said Jason Pirozzolo, co-creator and vice president of business development of IP Network.
