NY targets dirty doctors involved in no-fault auto insurance scams

The state is going after a dozen dirty docs it says signed off on car accidents that never happened to collect millions of dollars in no-fault auto insurance claims. Notices went out this week to the 12 physicians, plus six other health providers, barring them from submitting claims to New York's no-fault system, officials said Wednesday. "Defrauding the state's no-fault auto insurance system is illegal and drives up costs for honest drivers across the state," Gov. Cuomo said in announcing the crackdown.
