Wellsville native Trisha Koczent is taking on a new role in the healthcare industry. Jose Acevedo, M.D., MBA, President and CEO of Finger Lakes Health has announced that Koczent, CPA, FHFMA has been named treasurer and chief financial officer for Finger Lakes Health.
Novavax, the Maryland firm that won a $1.75 billion federal contract to develop and produce a coronavirus vaccine, said on Thursday that the federal government would not fund further production of its vaccine until the company resolves concerns of federal regulators about its work. The firm’s disclosure came in a quarterly filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. The Trump administration agreed to buy 110 million doses of vaccine from Novavax as part of its crash vaccine development program.

Methodist Hospitals has appointed Lauren Trumbo chief financial officer and vice president of finance. She most recently was chief financial officer for Community Healthcare System's St. Catherine Hospital. Trumbo holds a bachelor's degree and a master's degree from Purdue University.
CVS Health outpaced analysts’ expectations for fiscal second-quarter earnings and raised its forecast for the year. Customers are resuming more normal shopping patterns. Shoppers are buying more items in the front of the store and pharmacists are filling more prescriptions. It said the use of health-care benefits has returned to a more typical pattern, too.
