New Albany billionaire Lex Wexner failed to attend a board meeting for the Ohio State health system bearing his name following a congressional deposition over his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. Wexner, who is chair of the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Board, long held ties to Epstein, who acted as Wexner's financial adviser for decades and at one point had power of attorney for him. Epstein was facing federal charges for alleged child sex trafficking in Florida and New York when authorities say he died by suicide in jail in 2019.
