California hospitals reporting billion dollar losses

California hospitals are reporting billions of dollars in losses amid the ongoing coronavirus crisis. The California Hospital Association says hospitals have suffered as much as $14 billion in losses by postponing elective surgeries and other procedures to make room for the anticipated flood of coronavirus patients. The association asked state lawmakers yesterday to approve a $1 billion in financial aid.
