Eastern Connecticut Health Network calls off hospital purchase

Eastern Connecticut Health Network has called off its plans to buy Johnson Memorial Hospital in Stafford Springs due to financial reasons. ECHN represenatives said recent reports of falling patient volume and revenue at Johnson, greater-than-expected capital costs, and difficulty getting financial data from Johnson were factors in the decision.
