More options to pay for medical care, but some may be costly

Patients are increasingly being offered special financing to cover medical treatments that, consumer advocates say, can turn out to be more costly than using conventional credit cards. These financing options include medical credit cards, which have been around for years and work like traditional credit cards but are used solely for medical treatments.
