More people using Uber, Lyft to take cheap ride to emergency room

It’s a convenient way to get to the airport, or home safely after a night out with friends. Now, sick people are calling an Uber or Lyft instead of an ambulance to take them to the emergency room. It’s a money-saving tactic: substituting ambulances with rideshare drivers. The choice it’s making financial sense for some people but it can put rideshare drivers in an uncomfortable position.
