Opinion: How healthcare will continue to rely on AI to save lives during this pandemic

Late last year, the head of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Robert Redfield, cautioned that the next few months will be some of "the most difficult in the public health history of this nation." His warning came on the heels of a sharp increase in the number of daily reported deaths in mid-December, along with a parallel increase in the number of admissions and infections.
