Editorial: Nurses make strong case for deregulation

There is reason to think the debate could end differently this year. Sen. Jason Smalley, R-Stroud and chairman of the Senate health and human services committee, is author of a bill to end physician supervision of nurse anesthetists and says he will hear other bills related to scope-of-practice issues. The prior Senate health chairman was a staunch opponent of deregulation.
