Charges against former IWK Children's Hospital CFO Stephen D'Arcy were dismissed on Tuesday. D'Arcy, 60, was due to go to trial in June on charges of breach of trust, unauthorized use of a computer, and mischief of data related to the case of former IWK CEO Tracy Kitch. Kitch was convicted in February of fraud over $5,000 for charging more than $43,000 worth of personal expenses to a corporate credit card. With ambiguity or doubt involving a crucial piece of information, the Crown has an obligation to discontinue that prosecution, Crown attorney Peter Dostal said.
