Adeptus Health, the nation's top freestanding ER operator, to lose CEO

Adeptus Health, the nation's largest operator of freestanding emergency rooms, announced Wednesday that its current chief executive officer, Thomas Hall, will step down in 2017. Hall, 55, has been with Adeptus since 2012, and is credited with taking the company public and more than quadrupling the number of facilities it operates. He will remain as board chairman through his current term, which ends at the company's annual stockholder meeting in mid-2017.
