Best known for Obamacare, Centene makes global play

Having grown into the nation’s largest provider of individual coverage under the Affordable Care Act, Centene is looking for additional new opportunities outside the U.S. on the global healthcare stage. The latest example of Centene’s interest in global markets was announced late last week with its purchase of a stake in University Hospital of Torrejón in Madrid.
