Trump administration awards $1.8 billion to help combat opioid epidemic

The Trump Administration announced Wednesday $1.8 billion in funding to states to continue in the fight against the opioid epidemic, sweeping across the country. At a news conference Wednesday at the White House, President Donald Trump said, "My administration is determined to use every resource at our disposal to smash the grip of addiction. The $1.8 billion in funds we’re awarding today will be distributed to all 50 states.”
