Trump administration to require Texas Tech medical school to end use of race in admissions decisions

The Education Department’s civil rights division is requiring Texas Tech University to end its use of race in admissions decisions, a move to force the school into compliance with its view of federal antidiscrimination law. The university struck the deal with the Education Department in February, concluding a 14-year investigation into the university’s use of affirmative action, according to a copy of the resolution agreement viewed by The Wall Street Journal.
