As workplaces across the U.S. are returning to normal in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, employers face the challenge of determining what that workplace will look like. It will certainly be different. According to a McKinsey survey, many of the shifts in the ways that business was conducted during the pandemic will not change, including a higher percentage of employees desiring to continue working remotely.
The Hoover City Council on Monday night agreed to create a new position in city government to assist with behavioral and mental health needs. The job title is behavioral health coordinator and will help address two overarching needs: provide support to Hoover’s first responders as they deal with people in the community who have mental health issues and provide personal support for first responders and other city employees as they deal with the stresses that come with their jobs, City Administrator Allan Rice said.

The Trump Organization and Chief Financial Officer Allen Weisselberg pleaded not guilty to tax crimes on Thursday. The company failed to report “fringe benefits,” such as rent-free apartments, private school tuition, car leases and cash bonuses, according to the indictment.
