Strike averted: University of Michigan nurses ratify new 3-year contract

The University of Michigan's health system reached a final agreement with the nurses' union, averting a potential strike, it announced Thursday. The announcement comes 12 days after Michigan Medicine and the University of Michigan Professional Nurses Council (UMPNC) reached a tentative agreement and less than a month after nurses authorized a strike in a landslide vote.
