UAB Health System CEO Dr. Selwyn Vickers has been named the new president and CEO of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Vickers, 62, of Demopolis, Ala., is a world-renowned surgeon, pancreatic cancer researcher, a pioneer in health disparities research, and a member of the prestigious Institute of Medicine of the National Academy of Sciences.
